Wesley College Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students and faculty/staff participated in Capital School District’s annual Super Senator Day on October 12 at Dover High School. The event included local schools, colleges, organizations and vendors that promote their programs to the local community.
As part of Wesley’s outreach to the local community, its Science Club demonstrated many chemistry experiments for the attendees, while its staff highlighted Wesley’s Science and Math undergraduate degree programs.
The Wesley activities were sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Delaware Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DE-EPSCoR WiCCED program) grant, and the National Institute of Health – Delaware IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (DE-INBRE) grant.
Wesley faculty/staff that participated in the event included Kevin Shuman and Melanie Pritchett. Students included Victoir Cahoon, Katelynn Fry, Sydney Hall, Anas Mahmoud, Cheyenne Costello, Maryssa Roberts, Skyler Brand, Gloria Jiminez-Martinez, Malika Bradley, Quinn Boyd, Steffanie Davis, Lyndsey Koyanagi and Kaiyah James.
