Wesley Staff Member Wins Scholarship

Wesley College Coordinator of Advising, Georgeanna M. Spagnolo, was awarded a NACADA Region 2 Ambassador Scholarship. NACADA stands for National Academic Advising Association which fosters and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to improve the educational development of students.

“Georgeanna works strategically to help our students reach their educational goals,” said Director of Student Success and Retention Christine McDermott. “We are thrilled she was recognized and know she will be a wonderful ambassador.”

The organization offers a forum for discussion, debate, and the exchange of ideas pertaining to academic advising through a variety of events and activities as well as special publications.

Scholarship winners are entitled to a complimentary one-year general membership to NACADA, a complimentary Region 2 conference registration for this year’s conference, and reimbursement for up to $500 in travel expenses.

The award Presentation of this award will be made during a ceremony at the Annual Region 2 Conference at Dover Downs in Dover, DE from March 21-23, 2018.
