Wesley College Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students, faculty and staff participated in Capital School District’s annual Super Senator Day on October 6 at Dover High School. The event included local schools, colleges, organizations and vendors to promote their organizations and programs to the local community.
As part of a Wesley, DE-EPSCoR and DE-INBRE outreach program, STEM students demonstrated a variety of chemistry experiments for attendees, while staff highlighted Wesley’s Science and Math undergraduate degrees and programs.
Wesley’s outreach endeavors were sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Delaware Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DE-EPSCoR), and the National Institute of Health – Delaware IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (DE-INBRE) programs.
Wesley staff that participated in the event included Melanie Pritchett, Kevin Shuman and Abdul Hameed. Students included Austin Lonski, Logan Minner, Kylea Lankford, Alex Jean-Francois, Christina Roe, Anas Mahmoud and Victoir Cahoon.
