Wesley College Professor of Chemistry and Dean of Interdisciplinary/Collaborative Sponsored Research, Dr. Malcolm J. D’Souza was the keynoter speaker at the 4th International Conference on Organic Chemistry (COC 2018) held July 14-16, in Kunming, China.
His presentation, “Undergraduate Research Projects Using Correlation Analysis Studies in Solution Chemistry and QSAR Modeling,” focused on the research outcomes of undergraduates in the NIH-NIGMS DE-INBRE, NSF DE-EPSCoR, NSF S-STEM, and the NASA DESGC supported Wesley College mentored research and UR-CATS (Undergraduate Research Center for Analytics, Talent, & Success) programs.
The conference covered issues on Organic Chemistry and was sponsored by Engineering Information Institute, Open Access Library, Scientific Research Publishing, and 1000thinktank. The conference mission is to create a stage for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods.
“In addition to my presentation, I had productive interactions in the cities of Beijing and Kunming with the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Institute of Petrochemical Technology, and Research Center for Teaching Education,” said Dr. D’Souza. “We are always looking for new partnership and opportunities for our students.”
