Several Wesley College Nursing Faculty were selected as Delaware Today Top Nurses 2018. The Delaware Nurses Association (DNA) with Delaware Today Magazine conducted a survey on its website. The survey requested feedback from Delaware-licensed nurses across the state to select the best candidates in various areas of practice.
Five Wesley College nursing faculty were selected by their peers and honored in four categories, Academic Educator, Volunteerism-Service, Mentor and Behavioral Health.
Instructor of Nursing/Simulation Coordinator Margaret O. McElligott MSN, RN was selected as a Top Nurse in the Academic Educator category as well as the Volunteerism-Service category.
Professor of Nursing and Director of Graduate Nursing Programs, Nancy D. Rubino, EdD, MN, RN-BC, CNE and Assistant Professor Tamala D. Paxton, RN-BC, MS, CNE were also selected to represent the Academic Educator category.
Associate Professor of Nursing Rebecca L. Benson, DNP, PMHCNS-BC was selected in the Behavioral Health category and Assistant Professor of Nursing Darla Davidson, MSN, RN was recognized in the Mentor category.
DNA is a professional organization for registered nurses in the state of Delaware. The mission is to provide leadership for the nursing profession and promotes quality health care for consumers through education, advocacy, and influencing health care policy in the state of Delaware.

All top nurses are listed in the Top Nurses story in the May issue of Delaware Today magazine, the lifestyle magazine of Delaware. The 2018 celebration of Top Nurses will be held at the Bella Vita at Cavaliers Country Club on May 17, 2018.
