Dr. Tony Armstrong, a professor of political science at Wesley College since 1991, has published a new book entitled Teaching a Happiness Class, based upon his popular core course, HU 210 – Happiness.
The book outlines Dr. Armstrong’s approach to the subject, which blends study of “key philosophical insights into the human condition” with “practices and relevant research findings” in positive psychology. He states, “I lead students in an exploration of the importance, nature, sources and means of happiness, which I believe enhances their chances for achieving a progressively deeper and more pervasive experience of happiness.”
Teaching a Happiness Class is a follow-up to Dr. Armstrong’s 2013 publication, Educating Angels: Teaching for the Pursuit of Happiness.
Both books are available on Amazon or from Wesley’s bookstore.
