CAEP Accreditation

Students create a water cycle in a Science Education project, showing critical thinking skills used in projects in the Elementary Education program at Wesley College.

Our nationally accredited teacher education programs provide teacher licensure in Delaware and many other states. Programs offer a year-long student teaching experience, online portfolio system and field-based student teacher preparation that place teacher candidates into K-12 classrooms early and often during their studies. Our programs have a strong emphasis on content knowledge and critical thinking.  Graduates have been hired for teaching positions nationwide.

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) is an international professional accreditor that reviews teacher preparation programs across the US and abroad.  Accredited programs have met rigorous standards for teacher preparation.

The Wesley College initial licensure programs include K-6 Elementary Education; K-6 dual certification in Elementary Education/Special Education; K-12 Physical Education; Master of Arts in Teaching, and the Alternative Route to Certification.
