SkiversWesley College Cannon Scholar student, Mike Skivers, a junior environmental science major from Milford, Del., completed a 10-week National Science Foundation (NSF) Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) (IIA-1301765) summer internship at Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Division of Climate and Energy.

As part of The Green Infrastructure Primer for Delaware, developed by DNREC in partnership with the Executive Order 41 Flood Avoidance Workgroup, his internship centered around “incorporating measures to improve resiliency to flood heights, erosion, and sea level rise using natural systems or green infrastructure to improve resiliency wherever practical and effective.”
