What is the application fee?

The application is currently free of charge. View the undergraduate application.

What is the minimum TOEFL or IELTS score required for Wesley?

The minimum TOEFL is 75 for undergraduates. The minimum IELTS score is 6.0 and the minimum Duolingo English Test score is 49. If you are from a country where English is the native language, we can waive the language requirement if you have an interview and write a statement of intent. Additionally, we waive test scores if you have completed certain ELI programs. Please contact InternationalAdmissions@wesley.edu for more information.

Are SATs or ACTs required?

SATs and ACTs are not required, although scores may be submitted for consideration for certain scholarships.

Which documents to I need to provide?

You will need to provide us an official, sealed copy of your transcripts, TOEFL/IELTS score a copy of your passport, a copy of your visa (if applicable), Statement of Intent, and a completed financial support statement with verifying documents.

Does Wesley have an ELI program?

At this time Wesley does not offer an accredited ELI program. However, English and TOEFL tutoring is available through our Language Development Center, as well as course on English as a Second Language. Wesley does offer a conditional admission program with local ELI Partner Schools.

Is an interview required for international students?

Not for undergraduates, but it is highly encouraged. We want to learn why you are interested in Wesley, and why you’re a great fit for our program.

What are the application deadlines for international students?

Application deadlines for the fall semester are July 1 (out of country) and July 15 (in country). Application deadlines for the spring semester are November 1 (out of country) and November 15 (in country).

How can I check on the status of my application?

After your application has been received, you will receive periodic emails and phone calls from the International Admissions Counselor. Please keep in touch with your Admissions Counselor, and they will keep you up to date on your application.

When will I be informed of my admissions decision?

Within two weeks of the completion of your application.

International Student Life

Which countries are currently represented on Wesley’s campus?

There are many countries represented at Wesley, including the following: China, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, South Korea, India, France, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Haiti, Cameroon, and Romania.

How do I choose a major or minor? Do I have to apply to the departments directly?

You are not required to choose your major until your second year, although you may do so sooner. You may change your major at any time as long as you are still set to graduate.

What support does Wesley provide to international students on campus?

Our Admissions Counselor works with international students during the application process. They can answer any questions you may have about the application, your I-20 or what it means to be an international student at Wesley. Once you enroll, you will have access to an International Student Advisor. They then assist with any on campus issues that may occur when you arrive. The International Student Advisor also organizes activities on campus and in the local community alongside the Multicultural Student Union. Team International host an orientation that will help you transition to college. Free counseling and tutoring is available upon request.

What cultural and student organizations are available on campus?

Wesley has a number of student and cultural organizations where you will find students who share a cultural background or an interest in certain parts of the world. Here are a few examples: the Multicultural Student Union (MSU), the Black Student Union (BSU) and the Global Investigators on the Move Living Learning Community.

Can international students live on campus during breaks and over the summer?

Yes. Please submit an application to the housing office if you need winter or summer housing.

Can international students get jobs on campus?

Yes. F-1 students at Wesley College are allowed to work on campus 20 hours a week or less while school is in session and a maximum of 29 hours per week during breaks. However, these positions are very competitive and are not guaranteed. If you are interested in working on campus, Team International can give you suggestions on who to ask.

Financial Aid

What is the cost of attendance?

The approximate cost of one year of undergraduate attendance is $38,000. This includes direct costs (tuition and fees, room and board on campus).

Is financial aid available to international students?

International student financial aid is currently not available from Wesley. However, Wesley works hard to assist students in finding outside sources. Please see our list of financial aid sources, and contact the financial aid office for more information.

What scholarships are available to international students? What is the application process for these scholarships?

Undergraduate students automatically qualify for a $10,000/year scholarship if they live on campus and a $5,000/year scholarship if they live off campus.
