Eileen Scanlon

Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy

Why I Teach

My passion for teaching started early in my career as an Occupational Therapist when I began instructing fieldwork students. As I gained experience and received board certifications, my teaching evolved to advanced level students and mentorship of professional staff. I was provided the opportunity present on various topics for organizations and industries. I have a passion for learning and as a result, I love to share what I learn with others whether student, practitioner or community member. I consider teaching and Occupational Therapy my calling and I am committed to both in order to advance our profession and benefit the individuals and communities in which we serve.
