Caps and Gowns

Students from academic year 2019-2020 must bring your own cap and gown with you to the ceremony. Due to COVID regulations, we will not have any to loan out to you if you forget yours.

The Bookstore has not given the Academic Affairs Office (AAO) a specific date yet for when the caps and gowns will be available for students to pick up. It is our intention (AAO) and understanding from the Bookstore that they will be here no later than the end of Finals Week.

Cap, Gown & Ticket Update

Per Barnes & Noble (B&N; Wesley’s Bookstore), cap and gowns will arrive sometime on Monday, May 10th.  B&N cannot give us a specific arrival time right now.  Therefore, on Tuesday, May 11th from 9am until 7pm, AAO will be dedicating College Center, room 206, for students (local and otherwise) to come to campus and pick up their cap, gown, and guest tickets.

If students cannot come on Tuesday, May 11th to get their cap, gown, and guest tickets in person, we will overnight mail it to them.  We asked that students provide their current mailing address using a google form in the email.  They were also given additional options to pick up their cap, gown, and tickets but they had to select those options on the google form.

*** PLEASE NOTE:  If any student has a balance on their account they CANNOT pick up their cap, gown, and tickets until it is paid; payments must be received by COB on Thursday, May 13th.

Master’s Degree Candidates

Due to COVID restrictions we are unable to partake in the traditional “hooding” ceremony. Therefore you will need to come with your hood on.

How to Robe

See the video below, to explain how to get yourself dress with your cap, gown, and hood (or some call the stole).
