Wesley College junior guard Brian Cameron was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in games between Feb. 4-11. It is the third time this season that Cameron earned a spot on the Team of the Week.
Cameron extended his streak of 30-plus point scoring games to three with a pair of high-scoring performances during Wesley’s 2-0 week with wins vs. Cabrini and Gwynedd Mercy. Cameron averaged 33 points per game with eight rebounds and five assists in two games. From the field, Cameron was 20-of-29 shooting, including going 5-for-8 from three. He was also 20-of-25 in free-throw attempts.
During the second half of Wesley’s win on Saturday over conference-leading Gwynedd Mercy, Cameron was a perfect 10-for-10 from the field, 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.
In the Atlantic East Conference, Cameron is a five-time player of the week most recently picking up the weekly award on Monday. He leads the conference in scoring, averaging 26.2 points per game.
