Freshman pitcher Jessica Anderson set a new program record for strikeouts in a game with 11 in a complete-game four-hitter as Wesley open the day with the 6-1 win over the Rivier Raiders.

After getting runs in the first and third innings, Wesley broke the game open with a four-run sixth inning. After back-to-back walks to load the bases, Alexis Howerin came through with a two-run single through the left side that scored Brooke Retkowski and Abbey Mayse.

Following a double steal by Howerin and Megan DiRubbio, Ashley Royer cleared the bases with a two-run single of her own to give Wesley the 6-1 lead.

Anderson had a perfect game going through three innings and a no-hitter for 5.2 innings before Rivier scratched a run across in the seventh inning with two outs.
