Bachelor of Arts in Music
The Wesley College Music Department offers a wide selection of courses in music and performance while maintaining small class sizes and personal attention. Our department’s mission is to provide excellent musical experiences within a nurturing and collegial environment. Majoring in Music at Wesley College equips students with the knowledge, skill and performance experience needed to pursue a successful career. Our comprehensive program offers a Bachelor of Arts in Music and allows students to complete concentrations in Pre-Music Therapy or Music Education with an optional fifth year to graduate with a Master of Arts in Teaching.
The department offers a full range of courses including a four-semester sequence in Music Theory and Aural Skills, a three-semester survey of the history of Western Classical Music, as well as additional courses in Music Technology, American Popular Music, Conducting, World Music and other topics ranging from Film Music to Opera. The Music Department offers private lessons in voice and all instrumental areas given by leading professionals in their fields as well as several vocal and instrumental ensembles.
