Participants in this learning community will be first-year students from any major and will live in Carpenter Hall. Students will enroll in Professor Linda De Roche’s First-Year Seminar, “Mysteries of Culture,” a course that examines mystery and crime novels set in international locations and each culture’s approach to gender, race, religion, and its historical past. Students also enroll in EN 100 College Writing I together.
Programs held in the residence halls include a foreign film series, international dinners, and international student mixers.
This learning community will have study hours in the residence hall.
To qualify, students must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 and qualify for EN 100: College Writing I.
