The Student Success Outreach Team
We are here to help! The Student Success Outreach Team is charged with connecting students with campus resources at a point in the student’s experience when the greatest benefit can be achieved.
The primary goal of the program is to improve student retention and graduation rates by creating a culture of success, alleviating barriers and empowering students to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. The Student Success Outreach team utilizes on-campus resources within the Department of Student Success & Retention and also collaborates with other departments campus-wide to assist Wesley’s students.
The SSO Team uses Lantern, an Early Alert software system, which allows for faculty, staff and other Wesley community members to submit referrals when they believe a student could benefit from additional resources. From there, the Student Success Outreach Coordinator works to connect the student with the appropriate department(s) and resource(s).
