Wesley College honored September 1 as Wesley College Day with faculty, staff and students decked out in Wolverine pride wear doing community service projects. Projects included helping Hurricane Harvey victims, honoring alumni and beautifying the campus.
The day was designated by the Delaware State Senate of the 149 General Assembly of the State of Delaware. Sponsored by Senator Colin Bonini on behalf of all Senators and Representative Harvey Kenton, sponsored the resolution on behalf of all Representatives.
“We are very grateful for the recognition and support of our elected officials,” said Wesley College President Robert E. Clark II. “It means a great deal to us that our State legislators formally recognize Wesley’s Worth, and the value that we bring to our city, region, and state.”
Students planted flowers in an alumni garden, visited with elected officials to share their experiences and athletes on campus participated in a clothing drive for hurricane victims.
