Wesley College Alumni Association held a dedication ceremony for Alumni Circle on Saturday, October 14, during Homecoming Weekend. Alumni Circle is an opportunity for alumni to leave a lasting mark on campus for future generations of graduates to see.
The newly installed Alumni Circle includes a design exclusive to Wesley and recognizes generous alumni supporters with an engraved brick in their honor for giving or pledging a gift of $500 or more during the campaign.
Approximately 50 people attended the event that featured a welcome from Wesley College President Robert E. Clark II followed by remarks from the President of the Alumni Association Kirstin Higgins ’98. Past President of the Alumni Association, Chad Robinson ’05, was also on hand to speak to the value of participating in this legacy.
The circle is anchored in South Plaza, outside of Parker Library, Dulany Hall, and the southern entrance to the H.B. DuPont College Center. This area has special meaning because it is the place where students begin their college career during orientation and complete their degree during their march to their Commencement Ceremony.
