Wesley College undergraduate research in chemistry is published in the peer-reviewed open access publication, Canadian Chemical Transactions.
Brandon Sandosky (environmental science), Gabriel Fernandez-Bueno (biological chemistry), and Matthew McAneny (biology), completed a project that provides insight into the solvent influences of commercial chloroformates under the direction of Professor of Chemistry Dr. Malcolm J. D’Souza.
Sandosky completed this work as part of his senior-thesis project in environmental science. Fernandez-Bueno and McAneny participated in the project as EPSCoR/INBRE sponsored research-assistants in the Wesley College Directed Research Program in Chemistry.
Currently, Sandosky is in a grad program in environmental science at Towson University. McAneny is in the process of completing a final math requirement and is employed in New Jersey. Fernandez-Bueno is in the final semester of the biological chemistry program and plans to enter a biomedical graduate program in fall 2014.
