Wesley College’s Tau Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Nursing Honor Society was selected as a 2017 recipient of the Chapter Key Award. The Tau Beta chapter is one of only 88 chapters out of 500 internationally to be selected for this award.
This is the first Chapter Key Award Wesley’s chapter has earned. The award was presented at STTI’s 44th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 30.
Established in 1991, the award honors STTI chapters that excel in chapter-related activities such as: membership recruitment and retention, publicity and programming, professional and leadership development and local, national, and international collaboration.
Wesley’s chapter has been active with international mission trips to Guatemala for the last few years, hosting professional development programs and many community service projects.
Current Tau Beta President and Clinical Lab Adjunct Instructor, Christine Jarrell M’04 MSN, RN accepted the award on behalf of Wesley’s nursing honor society.
