The Wesley College Alumni Association honored a record number of former student-athletes during an event held at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover, Delaware. As part of the College’s recent homecoming celebration, 18 alumni were inducted into Wesley’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
 Ed Muntz '94 and Kristin Lupo '98, were recently honored by the alumni association at Wesley College for their outstanding athletic contributions to their alma mater. Muntz, a former soccer captain and career record holder with 43 goals, is the women’s head soccer coach at Wesley. Lupo, a past captain for the women’s soccer program, is the varsity coach for the girls soccer team at Dover High School. Both were part of a ceremony that inducted a record number of 18 alumni into the college’s athletic Hall of Fame. The event was held at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover, Delaware. Established in 1983 by the college’s alumni association, the Wesley Hall of Fame was founded to honor, pay tribute and perpetuate the memory of those individuals who, either through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions in the field of intercollegiate athletics and who have helped bring recognition, honor, distinction and excellence to Wesley College. To be eligible for induction, recipients must receive at least three varsity letters or equivalent accomplishments and demonstrate outstanding contribution to varsity intercollegiate athletics. Family members, friends, classmates and former players and coaches of the honorees were present at the awards ceremony to witness the induction and pay tribute to the 2009 Hall of Fame class. Each individual award winner received a plaque from the alumni association.
