Assistant Professor of Biology

Why I Teach

I'm passionate about science, and I love helping people. By teaching I get to share my excitement of science and help people along the way.

Professional Activities

My research is focused on toxicology and identification and testing of novel antimicrobials. I have three ongoing projects: Toxicity of platinum group elements, antimicrobial activity of DMN, and testing novel antimicrobials against biofilms. These projects are interdisciplinary and involve collaborations with organic and environmental chemists. Students have presented their work on these projects at regional meetings.
