Peer Tutoring

MISSION STATEMENT

Wesley’s peer tutoring program strives to assist all Wesley students in achieving academic excellence through individualized subject tutoring. Tutors will train to achieve this goal through several tutor development opportunities.

WHO ARE TUTORS?

Our extensive peer tutoring program includes 35-40 peer tutors who cover a wide spectrum of academic courses. Tutors are Wesley students who excel in their subject, are recommended by faculty, maintain a high overall GPA and are hired and trained through a series of workshops by professional staff members.

All tutors receive training in current tutoring strategies, metacognition, and learning styles. Tutors achieve international certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) by completing their training
