Nursing Department Accreditation and Approval

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The Wesley College Bachelor of Science program is approved by the Delaware State Board of Nursing. The BSN, MSN and Post-master’s Certificate in Adult-Gerontology programs are fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Wesley College is fully-accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and operates as an independent liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Several majors are accredited through field-specific accreditation commissions.

The BSN class of 2017 had an NCLEX-RN pass rate of 96.42%. The 9 month post-graduation survey, shows the employment rate for the class of 2017 was 100%.

Expected Level of Achievement: 80% of students will graduate with an MSN within 3.5 years from admission for the RN without a BSN and 2.5 years for those with a BSN. 80% of students will graduate with the Post Master’s Certificate (PMC) within 1.5 years from admission.

Success on Certification Examination

Expected Level of Achievement: 80% of graduates choosing to sit for certification will pass the examination on the first attempt in the twelve month period between January 1 and December 31.
