Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Law and Justice Studies

The Certificate in Law and Justice Studies is designed for the individual who desires a basic knowledge of Law and Justice Studies and who holds a bachelor degree in another field. All transfer credits must be completed with a “C” or better. The Certificate courses taken under Law and Justice Studies must be completed with a “C” or better to earn Certificate credit. Only one (1) 3 credit Legal Specialty course or legal elective may be transferred from another institution for the Law and Justice Studies Certificate with the approval of the Department Chair. Certificate candidates are not eligible for internship credit.

  • LS 101 Introduction to Law
  • LS 200/210 Lab Legal Research and Writing I
  • LS 202 Civil Litigation

Certificate Major Electives

9 Credit Hours

  • 3 credits at the 200 level; 3 credits at the 300 level; and 3 Credits from the 400 level.

  • LS 312 Interviewing & Investigation
  • LS 313 Alternative Dispute Resolution
